About Donimo

International stage and television performer Donimo has been likened to Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel, Jacques Tati's Mr. Hulot and Grock, yet he is indeed a comic character of our time. Born Jonathan Baker, Donimo has an extensive background in physical and movement theatre, and has performed around the world for the past 25 years. Jonathan created Donimo by combining the ancient art of clowning with the world of silent screen comedy and the contemporary theatre techniques of Jacques Lecoq, Philippe Gaulier and Pierre Byland.

Donimo first appeared on British T.V screens with an award winning performance on Central Television's talent show New Faces 1988, where he received the largest public vote in the history of the series. He has made guest appearances on many shows like the Terry Wogan Show, Jamison's Tonight Show, Brian Conley's Christmas Show, The Big Ticket, Talking Telephone Numbers, on BBC in Children's Royal Variety show, Tricky Business, Going Live, Big Stage Show, and on the Family Channel, as well as in TV shows all over Europe and South America. Donimo will be appearing on the Magic Circus show recently filmed in Geneva. A Circus TV show that gives youngsters from all over Europe an opportunity to perform together in a non competitive environment.
